It has been an interesting few days. A rare October snow storm burst through our area dumping over a foot of snow and bringing down tress and power lines. All I could think of as I saw the trees cracked, dropped, and leaning over was Romans 8:19-22
For the creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed. For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the freedom and glory of the children of God.
We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time.
We unfortunately lost all power two days ago. We are still without. It is not expected to be restored until the end of the week.
Though the fig tree does not bud
and there are no grapes on the vines,
though the olive crop fails
and the fields produce no food,
though there are no sheep in the pen
and no cattle in the stalls,
yet I will rejoice in the LORD,
I will be joyful in God my Savior.
Habakkuk 3:17-19
Yet I still have His power. And we are leaning on it. When it is all stripped away and you have a car full of your necessities and your family, we see that we still have all that matters. His power works in us even when they electricity is out. We are leaning on him through it all.
My new eBook has been delayed because of this power outage but I am still so excited to have it available soon. The design is beautiful and I hope the words are just as beautiful to your hearts. It is titled, “Simplifying Homeschool: Having Less Clutter and More Joy in Our Homeschools.”
We are so blessed in this time to have our families who have taken us in and given us warm beds, warm food, and most of all warm hearts.
I will write more as I can and update you all. In the meantime please pray for all of those affected by this storm.
