An Upside Down World

The world is upside down. The culture is in a downward spiral. I can hardly catch my breath at the headlines these days.

So much darkness. So much immorality. I can hardly even grasp it.

Yes, the world is upside down. But God is still on the throne. In His perfect place.

In times that are changing quickly from one moment to the next, right there in the midst of it, God stays the same.

When the world is broken, He can restore.

When times are uncertain, He is for certain.

When the world says anything goes, He is the unchanging Truth.

When the world is dark, He is the Light.

When the world strives for more and better and new, He is enough.

“and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power.”

Oh, thank you Lord, that you are enough. Because there are times when I can hardly stand to read another headline, and my emotions take over. But in the moment, I remember, this world is lost and you are the only HOPE. In a world that seeks to fill every void and pleasure only to wind up in darkness and sin, You are enough.

If only every human being that was lost could grasp that truth.

YOU are the point of life. You ARE life. You are enough. Without you, humanity is null and void. None of it makes sense.

But with you, every single thing falls into place. 

Oh, my prayer today and tomorrow will forever be- that this world could know you. I know that one day every knee WILL bow, but those who don’t grasp the Truth in the here and now will perish. That is more devasating to me than any headline of today.

We must stand up and realize every single suffering soul out there needs Jesus. There may not be a someday. We only have now to let every single soul know…Jesus is Enough. In fact, He is the ONLY way.
