John made a cake today that he titled, “A Heaven Cake.” He said the white frosting looked like what he thought heaven will look like. 🙂
John loves to cook, so I told him today when he got to his workbox that had the wooden spoon in it, that would be time for a cooking lesson. When he got to that box, he was soooooo excited! He said, “This is the BEST day ever!”
He made the whole cake himself, and decorated it. We will definitely be doing more cooking lessons, since I firmly believe in teaching through children’s interests. Cooking involves science, math, reading recipes, etc. so there will be plenty to learn while having lot of fun!
Good job Johnny boy on your “Heaven Cake!”
