What Can I Say? Nothing Can Thwart His Plans! Teach Them Diligently Arkansas

What can I say about my trip to Arkansas, except GOD blows me away! (I am actually typing away here at the beautiful airport!)  If you remember, two weeks ago we left for Nashville, TN to speak at the Teach Them Diligently Convention and we were only able to get there by divine intervention. (read about it here.)

Now this trip, would you believe, ANOTHER Nor’easter hit?? Yup. I am seriously beginning to think a snow storm follows me whenever I have a trip planned!

A horrible snowstorm hit the day before we left and was set to continue through the night. We were leaving for the airport at 5 am and ALL United flights were canceled that day/evening.

I was sure that even if my United flight for the morning was not canceled, that it would be difficult to get to the airport if we could get there at all. I contemplated worried and became anxious about not going.

But God.

I awoke at 4 am and the roads were clear. We said we would go to the airport, which is an hour away, and if the roads were bad, then we would turn around.

The roads were perfectly clear all the way.

Unbelievable!

And our flight was still on time!

Goodbye NYC!

Hello Arkansas!

We’re not in Newark anymore 😉

Can I just say, that any details I worried and became anxious about never happened? I am SO done with satan and his lies that cause me anxiety. Because I have seen time and again these past two weeks, that if GOD gives you a mission, He will complete it! And there is nothing else to do but rest in that truth and find joy in being in HIS will. The lies and worries that occupy my mind are permanently evicted from here on out!

As I chatted with one of my very favorites this weekend– Heidi St. John- we are WARRIORS for Christ!

Who is with me?

The beautiful Heidi St. John from The Busy Mom

This trip was beyond any expectations that I had. One of the best parts was that I traveled with my beautiful daughter. Knowing I only have one year left with her before she is a real-deal adult, I cherished every moment.

We talked, we ate, we shopped, laughed, and we ate some more! It was a treasure. And she was so incredibly helpful with everything. I am so thankful!

And the conference itself was beyond an answer to prayers. I met with so many homeschoolers that were encouraged by the sessions. I loved meeting so many podcast listeners (I really had no idea SO many out there listen!) and it was a joy to get some time with the other speakers- so many that I admire greatly in their ministries.

My friend Ann Dunagan from Mission-Minded Families

When He Calls You, Equips You!

It’s truly a delight to be able to minister to families and to be walking in the calling that God has given me…even though I never imagined doing this in my wildest dreams! Yet, I couldn’t imagine doing anything else these days. I am thankful beyond words.

These two sweet ladies came to every one of my four sessions! They were a delight!

And Arkansas! Oh, Arkansas! What a wonderful place. Truly one of my favorite places that I have visited. The airport is a dream. Smack dab in the middle of farms…it’s like they stuck the airport in my little town at home.

And the people! They are SO kind. I have yet to meet anyone that isn’t beyond pleasant and friendly. I just love it here.

There is nothing like a Teach Them Diligently event. They are truly special and the heart behind these events is so focused on the Lord. If you have the opportunity to attend one, don’t wait! Run! You will not be disappointed!

I will be at Teach Them Diligently Atlanta in 2 weeks– April 5-7. (PRAY for no more snow!)

And then from May 17-19, I will be at Teach Them Diligently in Myrtle Beach! I am so grateful!

This summer, I am hosting a women’s retreat in Gettysburg, PA. In a world of excess, we are going to focus on that fact that Jesus is enough. The world will tell you YOU are enough. But truly, HE is enough. He is all we need. We don’t rely on ourselves, or earthly comforts, but on Him alone.  I have lived with it all stripped away, and I have seen that yes, Jesus is enough. In fact, Jesus is MORE than enough.

Early Bird Registration is Open! Join us for this life-changing and life-giving event. You will spend two days with other sisters in Christ, tired of what the world offers, and ready to live the life that HE offers.
