Where do I even being to sum up all that this past week entailed?
God has once again truly amazed me!
We spent the past five days on the road for Teach Them Diligently in Nashville. The weeks leading up to it were filled with anxiety for me (God is working on me though!) And the week before our entire area was hit with a Nor’easter. My entire (little) town was without power and much of the surrounding area. Miraculously, we were one of the only homes that did not lose power. We lost a very large tree but thankfully there was no damage.
Once that storm cleared, it was time to get ready to leave for TTD. Until, the weather predicted yet ANOTHER Nor’easter coming- and this one seemed doomed to be even worse than the first, with up to 2 feet of snow predicted for some areas. We were unsure if we would make it out this time. We had planned on leaving on Wednesday morning at 4 am and driving all day until Nashville. It is about a 13-14 hour drive. Well, on Tuesday the predictions were that by morning on Wednesday we would already be snowed in, as now the storm was slated to begin at 7pm Tuesday night. We then made the decision to leave and drive through the storm until we could get to the other side, rest for the night and go on to Nashville.
At 7 pm we were standing in our driveway as the snowflakes started to fall. With my anxiety at peak levels, I was pretty much convinced we would not be able to get to Nashville. So, Steve prayed in the car. He prayed that God would make a way and that God would “split the sea so we could get through.”
We started driving and the snow actually stopped. I checked the live radar on my phone and it went from this:
To this:
The storm literally split open and we were going right through a clear path!
I actually put my phone down and screamed! I was completely in shock and awe. God LITERALLY answered our prayer right before my eyes.
We made it all the way to Virginia that night with NO SNOW. A bit of drizzle here and there but overall, nothing! We spent the night in a hotel and continued on the next day.
I still am in shock and awe. My faith has grown exponentially in just that experience. I know that when God calls you to do something, He will see it thorough no matter what. I had so much peace on the trip the whole time after that.
Here are some glimpses of Teach Them Diligently Nashville!
Once again, speaking to families is a joy for me.
And spending time on the road adventuring with my family is the icing on the cake!
Fun With the Family Exploring!
I would love to see you at an upcoming event!
