What Does It Really Mean to Live Simply? Podcast Ep 52

What does it really mean to live simply? Do you have to follow a list of rules and regulations?

Do you have to sell all of your stuff?
Do you have to live on a farm?
Go off the grid?
Do you have to homeschool?
Do you need a tiny house?

NO! There are absolutely no rules and you certainly don’t have to follow another person’s lifestyle. The external results of a simple life focused on Jesus may have less things, but the true focus of living simply is to get rid of anything that hinders us from our walk with God. For me, my mission in living a simple life is because I want more Jesus and less of this world. I believe God will use people in different ways for different purposes, but all for His glory. God will lead you in how you should live, if you seek Him wholeheartedly. He may place you smack in the middle of the city or across the world, but if your focus is on Him, you will naturally seek more of Him and less of the pleasures of this world. I truly believe the more you desire Him, the less you will want of this world.

There are plenty of websites out there for minimalism, organization, and living clutter free. But I want to take it one step further here at Simply Living for Him.

We are all a work in progress, so let’s link arms and encourage each other in our journeys. Rather than worrying about a list of rules, let’s set one rule:

Seek Jesus with all your heart. The rest will fall into place.
