Yesterday we had a huge work day at our house to catch up on some much needed weeding, planting, and clean up. John (5) was helping me weed, and he found a worm. I heard him talking to the worm and over and over he kept saying, “There is Joy in Christ, There is Joy in Christ.” Finally, I asked him, “John why are you saying that to the worm?” He answered, “The robin is going to come soon and eat the worm, and he will die.” I said, “So you want the worm to know Jesus?” “Yes”, he replied. WOW. To be like a child. To want every creature to know the good news of Christ. To share the gospel unashamedly to all. That is what we are called to do. That is the Great Commission. And here is Johnny, sensing the death of this creature, and wanting to share with him. What a lesson I learned from him. I need to be bold, unafraid, and answer the call.
“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:19-20″
