Every year we participate in Operation Christmas Child through Samaritan’s Purse. We pack shoeboxes with our church, and the deliver them to a site where they will be shipped off and distributed to children all over the world.
We arrived today to drop off our boxes.
163 boxes in all were delivered from our church family!
It is truly an amazing gift.
While here in America kids are opening ipods, cell phones, and all the latest gadgets, these kids are literally squealing in delight over hygiene items, a small toy, and perhaps a pair of flip flops.
Each year, the kids and I pray over the boxes and the children that receive them.
With their small gifts, they all receive the message of love and hope in Jesus Christ. They can receive the gift of salvation, which I know first hand to be the greatest gift one can ever receive.
