Do You Have Your Most Important School Supply?

At this time of year its everywhere we turn-back to school shopping.  School supplies. Sales. Frenzies over having all the supplies we need to begin a new year.


Today it hit me.


As I am in the process of writing my new book, titled Letting God Lead Your Homeschool: Finding Freedom in the Calling and Homeschooling His Way: I am very focused these days on how God is really in charge of our homeschools.

So…amongst the paper, pencils, glue, laminators, books, etc. do we have our eyes on our One and True supply that we need? The one who supplies all we need. The one who called us to this journey.

We must be filled up on Him. Our homeschools need the usual school supplies. Yet without our eyes on Him they will really just be tools.  With Him, we can do all that He asks of us.

That is why we have chosen to let Him be our teacher this year and learn through His Word. We are using the Bible as our main textbook, and expecting Him to work.

So while you are out shopping for back to school supplies, keep your eyes fixed on He who supplies all of our needs. Don’t forget our homeschools are nothing without Him.

I can’t wait to share with you what He has taught me through His Word and through our experiences, about who is really in charge of our homeschools!
