Pomander Balls!
A few years back we did a wonderful Colonial Christmas unit study. It was a great way to learn about Christmas, taking a break from our usual routine. We had been studying this period in history so it worked out perfectly.
One of the activities was making pomander balls. We had so much fun and the results were beautiful.
All you need is an orange, (or we used clementines) and some whole cloves.
Place the cloves into the fruit in patterns or completely cover the entire fruit.
Set it out and enjoy the beauty and scent. The cloves will preserve the fruit and it will last a very long time, even many years!
Another very easy, simple craft that brings joy to all ages.
