The Desire of My Heart…Encouraging Others…Link Up!

I had the wonderful opportunity this weekend to speak at a local homeschool event. My presentation was titled, “Who is in Charge of Your Homeschool? Letting God Lead Your Homeschool.” What a blessing!

Connecting with the families afterwards was simply amazing. It confirmed my desire to keep speaking at as many places as the Lord wills.

Homeschooling moms need each other. And we need to be authentic. The best feedback I got from an attendee in an email afterwards was, “I felt like I was sitting there with one of my girlfriends having a heart to heart chat:)”

I am so grateful God placed this desire in my heart to speak, write, and encourage. I feel like I am doing what I was born to do. I never expected to be here, but wouldn’t have it any other way now. He is GOOD!

My next speaking event is the New Jersey State Homeschool Convention on May 19th. I am presenting two workshops, “Simplifying Homeschool” and “Education as an Atmosphere: Making Your Home a Place of Continuous Learning.” For more info please visit the website at www.enochnj.org

Mentoring Mamas {Monday}

This week I will be speaking at Heart of the Matter Online’s Conference. It is one of my favorite things to do. Encourage others out there that are on their homeschooling journey.

I am not an expert, not a veteran mom who has graduated any children from homeschool, or someone who has it all figured out. Nope, I am a mom just like you, saved by his grace, learning from him each day, and with a desire in my heart for speaking about it.

That is my passion. To walk alongside other homeschooling moms, as a real voice to cheer you on, and encourage you to look up. It is all about Him. He has worked tremendously in my life and in my homeschool. I love to share the good and the bad, to encourage you all to press on!

mentoring mamas monday, Simply...Living For Him, titus 2

Mentoring Mamas {Monday} link Up

One thing that I love about homeschooling is that my children are friends with others of all ages. Their daily interaction with each other and different ages, is preparing them for life. Older children are learning to be nurturing and mentors. Younger children are modeling their older siblings or peers.

It is the same with girlfriends. I love my older{wiser}friends who have walked through many of the journeys in which I walk now. At the same time, I am able to share my wisdom with newly married ladies, first time moms, or new homeschooling moms. It really is a beautiful way to live. All generations living and learning together.
