Yesterday I had the amazing opportunity to speak at Heart of the Matter’s Online Conference. It was a completely humbling experience.
I absolutely loved being able to encourage other homeschool moms across the country (and even in other countries!) The online conference is an amazing way to reach so many moms and provide support and encouragement. I am so grateful for the ministry of Heart of the Matter. Please check out their site!
I am not sure yet I can put into words how I felt about it, but I give God the glory for all of it. I do know that a fire was lit in me yesterday, to pursue more passionately my desire to encourage other homeschoolers. I am hoping to put together more presentations and do more speaking, wherever the Lord leads.
I also have a heart for teenage girls, and work with them at our church. I would love to develop a program just for them. Where I can speak to their hearts about so many of the issues affecting them these days. All things to pray about…
But I do have such a huge desire to minister to others…
In the meantime I reciting this verse over and over. I spent some time in the Word before the conference and was literally reading it out loud before the conference began.
Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.”
Immeasurably more than we ask...God has already done more in my life than I ever could have imagined and the fact that He can and do immeasurably more, is humbling. What an amazing God I serve.

People ask me all the time how I manage to homeschool three children, in different age groups, all the while having a toddler underfoot.
It doesn’t phase me one bit, because I know many people with more children that homeschool as well. But for many, they can’t see how it works-teaching multiple ages. Yet it’s really not as challenging as it sounds.
This year we have had the most kids doing homeschool since we began homeschooling, and it has actually been our best year yet! Since all the kids are home doing school, it actually makes things easier. Everyone is on the same page! (and well, the 2 year old…he just simply takes it all in!)
It’s all a matter of simplifying our approach. My first and foremost goal is always to raise godly children, with a strong faith, and also just as importantly- a family that is close.

It is my first time speaking at a conference and I am in awe of God’s work in my life. That He took this messy little girl, and grew her up to be me. A homeschooling mom, who is now encouraging others on their journey.

As a homeschooling mommy, I am often asked“HOW do you do it?” As if I am some superwoman. When the reality is, I am just as busy as the next mom.
Everyone has their own struggles, whether it is dealing with a job out of the home, a spouse with long hours, or many other trials we all face. It is not the trials that we face as we go through life, but it is what’s in our arsenal to help defend us against those trials that matters.
I have had a lot of arrows shot at me lately. You know the kind I mean…where when things are going so well, that the inevitable arrows shot at you by the enemy start flying.
