Love Thy Neighbor Challenge, Simply Go

Love Thy Neighbor Challenge Day 14

Simply Go! is a part of the Simply Living for Him ministry that focuses on missional living in the lives of everyday women. Based on Acts 4:13, which describes the disciples as ordinary men who had been changed by an extraordinary God, and those around them simply recognized that they had been with Jesus.

We want to encourage you that you can be missional right where you are–in your home, community, and everyday life. You simply need to reflect Jesus! So while Simply Living for Him provides resources to help you spend time with Jesus, Simply Go! is the next step in then shining that light!

This world is getting darker each day and it is our duty and privilege to shine the light of Christ! You will find challenges, ideas, encouragement, and resources in this section.

Day 14

Today’s idea:

Ask friends or neighbors if they have prayer needs. Then commit to praying for them

Many people have struggles we may never see. Simply asking someone how you can pray for them can be a huge blessing. Ask someone how you can pary for them and then commit to doing it. This may be the start of a new level of friendship. And when you see that person again, follow up, and let them know you have been praying.

Share your ideas! Tag me in your social media and let’s Simply Go! together!

Because when you understand God’s love, you can’t help but give God’s love!

This month we are challenging you to Simply Go! right where you are! Missions is for all of us. Jesus commanded us to go and make disciples. Yet, sometimes that feels a bit intimidating! What if I am rejected? What if I don’t know enough? What if I am uncomfortable?

We want to encourage you that building relationships with others in your everyday life is an important step to sharing the love of Jesus. And it doesn’t have to be intimidating. You simply need to show others His love and build relationships. If Christ is in your life, others will naturally see that!

So this month, we have put together a free downloadable calendar with ideas for each day to help you get started loving on your neighbor! Now, these are simple ideas that you can put into practice each day. You may want to do some of them or all of them, or they may inspire you with more ideas of your own. Use the calendar as a guide, but don’t feel you have to stick with each idea each day. It is simply a tool to help you get started.

We recognize that during this time some people are not able to get out or are not comfortable getting out these days. So we have included ways to reach out as you are comfortable! Some ideas can be done right from home!

If you are participating, you may also want to join us in our FREE online community to share ideas with other women and get ideas from others. You will also be encouraged in your own walk with Jesus, and find a place to grow. Our community is a thriving space of over 1,200 women pursuing Jesus together! JOIN THE COMMUNITY HERE!

Good morning. Today’s challenge prompted me to leave a message of prayer and blessing on the Next door app. It’s -9 degrees here in Golden CO and most of my neighbors won’t be outside today! 🙂 I left the message on the app for all to have a warm blessed day and I will be praying for all my neighbors. I must admit I hesitated posting. Thinking of course I end up offending someone. I posted anyway because I’m sure that’s what Jesus would do. Prayer is more important than possibly offending someone.
