Think about how much power this virus has in our world right now. Life is literally halted. Where I live, it is very prevalent and my state is expecting to go on lockdown today. Only essential businesses will be open. Everyone else is to stay home. Jobs are lost. Schools closed. All events canceled. College students sent home. Flights empty. Trips canceled. The list goes on.
That is a powerful virus.
Imagine this tiny germ we can’t see has so much power right now.
Hospitals at capacity. Fear is everywhere. We are all watching this unseen virus. We all want to know what will happen to our lives which right now seem to be at the mercy of this virus.
Oh, how wrong we have it.
God has more power than this virus ever will. He spoke the universe into existence. He created the stars, the moon, and mankind. He holds those stars in their places. He makes the sun rise and set every day. He knows every detail of this vast world and beyond.
He has so much power. He has so much control. He is greater than our little tiny minds can ever comprehend.
Our lives are not at the mercy of this virus but are in His hands.
So, today I encourage you to remember, God has authority over this world. And over this virus. And over your life.
Trust Him. His power is magnificent. He split the sea. He rose Jesus from the dead. And that same power lives in us if we surrender our lives to Him.
It’s easy to get caught up in the news and sit at the mercy of this virus. But, today I am choosing to remember that this little germ has nothing on my God!
Corona means “crown” but I know who the King is and who is really on the throne!
