After what seemed like a very long winter…

It was so pretty though!
I can finally see glimpses of spring! And I couldn’t be more ready! This girl who doesn’t like the cold is ready for flip flops and summer dresses. 😉
We’ve had a few sickies the past week, and I was included! Bleh. But I think we are on the mend. Even on days where we didn’t feel good, we took advantage of the rare sunshine- hoping that would be good medicine! Here’s my 9 year old in his PJ’s exploring the woods!
Prayers Needed!
And we really need prayers to stay healthy, because starting next week we will begin a very busy season of travel!
I’ve been putting together all new sessions for Teach them Diligently! I truly can’t wait. Here’s a tiny glimpse:
Will I see you at any of these?

And then there was this more serious post a few weeks back. God is so good!
Yesterday I did something quite surreal. I was nearby the old apartment that I lived in before my life turned around. I decided to drive by and see it. I parked as close as I could but it was crowded with people and cars. (Quite a difference from my little hobby farm life today.) The second floor above the deli- that was where I lived when God decided to pluck me out of darkness. As I sat there, I felt like it was so much smaller than I remembered. Much, much smaller. And much louder! But then again, every memory I have of that place and life before Christ feels like it was just a movie I watched about someone else’s life. A very sad and scary movie to say the least. As I look at the picture today all I can think is, that graffiti mailbox in front, and the battered front door represent just what God can do. He takes broken and ugly things and transforms them. He used a place that was quite dark to bring me to His Light. While living there I met Steve and then, ultimately I met Jesus. You just never know how God can use broken things for restoration. I thought I was beyond broken, but know now that no one is beyond His reach. Or restoration. If He can change me, He can change anyone. My life now is so different. I was glad to be reminded of where I’ve been, so I can never stop praising God for rescuing me, saving me, and loving me. And to be reminded that in the midst of my darkest days, He stepped in, and gave me a new life. So while I won’t dwell on the past, I do need to remember that it’s part of the story. A redemption story. A beautiful transformation. And not be ashamed. Praise the Lord for the miracles He has done! #redemption #savedbygrace #Hisgraceisenough #Jesusisenough #restored #savedbygrace
Homeschool Life
The last few days have been really fun in our homeschool with my nine-year old. I love letting him explore his interests. We’ve been doing hands-on fun for science, all interest-led and it is so much better than boring worksheets and memorizing facts!
And of course, sitting and enjoying God’s Creation is the best science lesson there is!
So, what have YOU been up to? Are you ready for spring? Comment below and let me know!
