“Can’t recommend this enough!
Going into it with my thoughts and
left it with His thoughts!
Forever changed!”
~ an attendee from 2016 retreat

“This was amazing today, 30+ ladies. We weren’t focused on things like race, denomination, job status, marital status or who we were voting for. We were focused on one thing, Him, God our father, the only thing that truly matters. Thank you, Karen, for helping me get back to the feet of Jesus. And thank you God for loving me enough to hand pick me to be here.”

~an attendee from 2016 retreat

This weekend was so much more than a ladies getaway. It was a knitting together of 30+ ladies together that would never have crossed paths otherwise.
It was a glimpse of God’s glory and what can happen when we let Him totally lead us, obeying even when we are fearful, and how it looks when women come together for no other purpose but to seek Him.
It didn’t matter where we came from or what we’ve been through….nothing mattered, but Jesus.

This year our theme will be ‘Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus.” We will learn how to stay focused on Him in this world that is constantly looking to distract us.

As an attendee from last year, it was an encouraging balm and at the same time an iron sharpening to my soul. I was so thankful for Karen’s complete openness and her deep desire to see Women focusing on, serving, and walking with God alone. I was so encouraged in my walk with Christ, and I am praying that I get the opportunity to attend again! Such A Blessing!!!

This sounds amazing! I attended Apologia’s retreat several years ago in Atlanta when it used to be separate from TTD and it was EXACTLY what I needed. Hopefully, I can work things out to be able to go to this! It’s quite a trip away from Georgia!

  • Reply Kimberly Selders December 22, 2016 at 3:26 pm

I have never been to a retreat before and I’m an introvert so the thought of going really makes me want to throw a blanket over my head and hide. But, I love Karen’s blog and podcasts and I just ordered all her books on amazon and I can’t get enough. I feel like God is trying to tell me to listen to what she says and learn everything I can from her. So the thought of spending a weekend with a bunch of like minded women sounds like a great weekend to me. I think I would most enjoy all the new wisdom I would gain.

    • Reply Karen DeBeus December 23, 2016 at 12:06 am

Kimberly, This just made me tear up! I am the same way believe it or not!! I could never imagine going alone, and there were some ladies last year that did just that! I am by nature introverted, which makes it even crazier that God has put me on this path. I did NOT think I could do the retreat last year, and truth is, I DIDN’T— he did! He orchestrated every detail while I merely obeyed.
I would love for you to join us in 2017 – a bunch of like minded women coming together is like a glimpse of heaven!
      Blessings!!!
      Karen
