I’ve been praying for a time to get away with women and disconnect from the world for a bit while we connect with God. Well this summer, that prayer will be answered. Won’t you join me?
Simply Living for Him Retreat July 22-24, 2016
Recharge. Restore. Renew.
Spend the weekend with me as we seek the Lord in a most beautiful place. Join with other ladies as we gather to learn more about living simply, putting God first, and not losing sight of Him in this very loud and distracting world. We will unplug for a bit and connect with each other and the Lord.
I will be speaking about simplifying and not getting overwhelmed by daily life. There will be a wide variety of topics covered regarding living a simple and purposeful life, how to handle burn-out, and clearing physical and mental clutter, all while getting closer to God.
Come and discover the beauty of walking this journey together. We need each other! There will be times of learning, prayer, worship, fellowship, even some rest. We are also sure to have lots of hugs, laughter, and surprises! Oh, and there is guaranteed to be chocolate 😉

What can I expect from the weekend? I am all about simple. So we will forgo the bells and whistles and the fluff, to keep focused on YOU and Jesus. We will learn about living more simply, purposefully, and with our eyes fixed on Jesus as we walk this journey together. A weekend filled with Jesus and ladies is bound to be worth it!
Enjoy this beautiful setting as you take some time to unwind and focus on Jesus. If you have been burnt out, this is the time for you to renew, recharge, and restore. We would strongly encourage you to unplug- no one will be monitoring you 😉 but why not leave the computer at home, and set the phone for emergencies only? Take some time to truly disconnect as you reconnect with God and your sisters in Christ without the distractions of everyday life. We so rarely get opportunities like this, so why not take advantage of the weekend to fully recharge spiritually.

Is this for ladies only? Yes. This retreat is geared towards women.
Is this geared only for moms? While the retreat is for women, ALL women are welcome regardless of what stage of life you are in. Mothers, singles, and seniors welcomed! We are all sure to benefit from the message of simplifying and living with God first in our lives.
Why The Lodges at Gettysburg? When the Lord put this idea on my heart, I prayed for quite awhile before taking any steps. I prayed daily for some time that if it was the Lord’s will for me to do this retreat, He would show the way. For a while, I was not able to find a venue that I thought suited the vision for the weekend, until one day, The Lodges at Gettysburg came to mind. I had stayed there with my family a few years ago and it is just perfect. Within a week, the wheels were in motion, and we visited the Lodges. Within moments of stepping out of my car, surrounded by their gorgeous views, I knew THIS was it. This was where God had planned for our weekend.
Are meals included?Lunch on Saturday and continental breakfast on Sunday are included in the full retreat ticket. The lodges have kitchenettes and at the very least refrigerators in the small rooms, so you can bring food with you for a very affordable weekend. Or there are nearby eateries in Gettysburg, as well as an on-site snack shop.
Can I get a refund? Unfortunately, all sales are final. You may transfer your ticket to a friend in the event you can’t make it to the retreat. Please note: a small administrative fee will be added when transferring a ticket.
What if I don’t want to stay at the Lodges? You are welcome to stay at another location suitable for you, or if you live locally, just join us for the retreat and enjoy sleeping at home. Even if you are local though, you might find if you can stay onsite, you can enjoy one of the beautiful lodges as a getaway.
Can I just come for one day?Yes, you can purchase a Saturday only day pass, although these are limited.
Can I bring my family? You may wish to bring your family to stay in the lodges while you attend the retreat. Perhaps make it an extended vacation once the retreat is over. Gettysburg is a wonderful family vacation! The retreat ticket is for one, however. (ladies only).
Are nursing babies welcome?Absolutely. But only if you let me get a baby fix by holding your little one for a bit 😉
I have more questions, who do I ask?Just email me at karen@simplylivingforhim and I will answer any questions you have!
