So, tonight we discovered the top half of our pre-lit tree went dark.
My initial reaction was…
“We need a new tree!”
Moments later, I decided…no, we don’t.
Christmas is not about a perfect tree or perfect decor. It is about Jesus. The tree is a fun symbol, but it is just that-a symbol. Money and time can be spent on better things at this point, than a last minute tree.
So, when I look at my half-lit and half-dark tree…It will remind me… out of darkness, came Light.
“The people walking in darkness
have seen a great light;
on those living in the land of deep darkness
a light has dawned.
Isaiah 9:2
Come, Lord Jesus! The Light of the World, who rescued us from darkness!
