When I first began to homeschool, I discovered a joy I never expected.
There is so much freedom in letting our children learn outside the walls of a classroom! They can learn by doing. They learn by being immersed in real life every day.
This past year I saw the blessing of that when my son was able to thrive by learning in a very hands-on way. As a ten-year-old, he far exceeds my thinking many times. He loves robotics, building, inventing, anything electrical, and all things scientific. All the science books in the world, though, will mean very little if he just takes in the information without applying it.
