As the beautiful season of autumn approaches, I encourage you to simplify. The weather cools down and we are surrounded by creation’s beauty. The changing leaves are like a painting He made for us!
Our society never seems satisfied, unless we are busy.
And while busy can be good, it depends on what we are really busy doing.
I encourage you to to take time and slow down, journal, and spend time with the Lord seeking His will each day.
In a world that says don’t stop “doing.”
BE STILL.
I love waking up early in the morning and lying in bed before the sun rises. Listening to the silence. And as the room starts to light up from the sunrise, I have my most special time of the day with the Lord.
It’s hard to find that kind of silence and quietness during the day.
We always say we are too busy.
(and with kiddies at home, there truly is noise all day…)
But how can we be too busy for the One who created us? Created the Universe?
I have struggled with that. I know.
But I am trying to keep the schedule simple, and fill it with the kind of busyness that matters.
How about you? Are you struggling to simplify? Are you encouraged by lessening the clutter? Share below and let’s encourage each other.
And if you feel led, please share this post with those friends. Encourage each other…
