It’s been an interesting few days here. We are in the midst of a blizzard, so I haven’t been out of the house since Christmas. It has been wonderful.
I have gotten so much done around here. I feel like I have a grasp on the next few weeks, so that when we are in full swing again, I can keep myself focused.
Here is what I have done:
Cleaned, cleaned, and cleaned some more. Purged the house of old stuff, to make room for new stuff (aka Chrismtas gifts!)
Planned our schoolwork for the next few weeks, ordered books from the library, and even got one for $1.00 for Grace’s new Kindle!
I set up the kids workboxes for Monday
Planned out the next 3 weeks of lessons for the discipleship class my husband and I teach at our church to the high school youth group
Planned 2 weeks of meals starting next week
Whew…I love days when I get so much accomplished. I know that once our break is over this week, life is going to get very busy again, so I wanted to try and get a head start~ so when we are in the midst of the craziness, it won’t feel so crazy!
This to me is what simplifying is all about….organizing, and weeding out the extra “stuff” in our lives.
Now I can focus on what it really important. Less stress for me=more focus on what matters.
