Today after reading about the American Revolution and colonial America, we decided to try some hasty pudding. This was a recipe that colonial Americans would have eaten. We made the pudding” with cornmeal and water, cooked it on the stove top. When it was ready, we served it by making a hole in the center of our pudding, and pouring syrup into the hole. This is how it would have been served. The kids were not too fond of the results, but at least they got an idea of how colonial Americans would have eaten.
