It’s been a crazy week. So many different little things going on. Health issues, family issues, and then today we found out our dryer, which is only 4 years old, needs to be replaced. I found this out after paying the repair man $144.00 just to come look at it and tell me I need a new one! Now on top of the huge unexpected expense of a new dryer, I have mounds of laundry piling up. So tomorrow when I get my new dryer delivered, not only will we have a big bill to pay, but more laundry than I care to think about that will need to be caught up on.
I am claiming this verse today. “Though the fig tree should not blossom And there be no fruit on the vines, Though the yield of the olive should fail And the fields produce no food, Though the flock should be cut off from the fold And there be no cattle in the stalls, Yet I will exult in the LORD, I will rejoice in the God of my salvation. The Lord GOD is my strength, And He has made my feet like hinds’ feet, And makes me walk on my high places. ” Habbakuk 3:17-19. That says it all. When we have nothing, we still have the Lord. It is HE who carries us. When the checking account is empty, when all of my energy is empty, it is HE who is filling me up. Worldly things are always changing, but HE is always constant. So I WILL rejoice in HIM, at ALL times!
